
Certified Contractor
A Certified Contractor is a snow and ice contracting company that meets the Smart About Salt Council (SASC) criteria. In part, this means successful completion of the "Essentials of Salt Management" course is defined as completion within the past five (5) years.
Please note that a Trained Operator, an individual who has successfully passed the Smart About Salt Council "Essentials of Salt Management" training test, is not considered a Certified Contractor.
Application Process
- Register Intent to Certify (optional)
- Read the Contractor Designation Guide
- Complete the Self Assessment Worksheets
- Submit the Application for Certification and Annual Renewal
